I’ve been using this phone for the past 2 years and I have to say that I have been pretty happy with it, but there are a few things you should know before buying an Avaya IP400 4620.
First of all, understand that this is not a digital phone set, it is an IP set. While this does offer increased functionality (for instance, you can use a wireless headset without needing a handset lifter), it has the drawback of a slightly lower call quality. The best way I can describe this is that it is about the quality of a cell phone while a digital Avaya 5420 Set will have a clearer quality.
Our company has both digital and ip phones and despite the poorer quality, in general I prefer the ip phones for the richer feature set.
